On Thursday, May 7th, Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon rescinded the state’s suspension of the sales of out-of-state fishing and hunting licenses. That decision was put into place late last month. Initially, the state’s plan was to last 120 days, but according to Wyoming Fish and Game, they never expected the suspension to last that long. Out-of-state Wyoming Hunting and Fishing license sales restarted on Saturday, May 9.
According to Jackson Hole News & Guide, “The decision to suspend short-term out-of-state fishing licenses was met with immediate pushback by the local fishing industry. The Snake River Fund penned a letter last month, asking that the decision be overturned.”
