Episode 5 of the Fly Shop Tour features a new state: Idaho. We made our way out of Montana and to Henry’s Fork Anglers. Here, we got a taste of Idaho sight fishing, a technical and frustrating endeavor. We could spot and stalk giant trout from cliffs all day, but our next stop was waiting.
With yet another new car, we made our way to Silver Creek Outfitters. Exploring the infamous Silver Creek and its technical dry fly fishing was our next. We met up with local guide Sam “Ernie” Ernst to learn the ropes and discover a new type of float fishing.
To cap off Idaho, local fly anglers, guides, and more joined us at Payette Brewing for an epic night. We raised money for Trout Unlimited in an impressive fashion, marking the biggest event in the Fly Shop Tour.
