Episode 4: West Fly Shop Tour Now LIVE!

While the Sage van may be in the shop, the Fly Shop Tour is still making its way through Montana. In episode 4 of the Fly Shop Tour West, the team meets up with Dan “Rooster” Leavens of Stonefly Inn & Outfitters. We talk about fishing, the fly shop life, and how things have changed in the face of the pandemic. Not to mention, Dan also shows us how to fly fish for big browns in spring creeks.

Our next stop was Ennis, Montana, where we checked out the historic Madison River Fishing Company. With inclement weather looming, we made the best of it with a quick afternoon float. As the barometer dropped, we slung streamers, hoping for a true giant.

We wrapped up Montana with an evening at MAP Brewing Company, where we shared stories and made new friends. The local fly fishing community came together to raise money for Trout Unlimited and recount the reasons they call Montana home.
