Ennis, Montana, Gets Trout-Themed Skate Park

If it wasn’t obvious by its nickname “Trout Town USA,” Ennis, Montana, is a hub for fly fishing in the West. Located near the famed Madison River, the various fly shops, fish sculptures, and trout-themed attractions only add to its charm as a fly fishing destination. This past week, residents of the town welcomed the newest attraction, a trout-themed skate park.

Ennis Lions Skatepark officially opened on July 25th, and might be the coolest skate park we’ve ever seen. It was created to help foster community amongst the town’s youth while giving them an affordable means to get outside and stay active. Of course, being in Ennis, the park wouldn’t be complete without some form of trout-related inspiration. The park features two trout-inspired sections. The first is a brown trout sculpture, and the second is an artist rendering of a rainbow trout completing the skate park’s bowl. We’re excited to report that the park’s opening was a success, and residents are already enjoying the newest fly fishing-related attraction.
