Ross Reels & Coors Banquet Reunite for Round Two: Now Available!

New Coors Banquet Cimarron launches with more sizes and special releases to support river conservation

Last year, we saw the introduction of the first Ross Reels and Coors Banquet collaboration. This collab featured the Ross Animas alongside the signature gold and red coloring and iconic Coors logo. While the collaboration and reels were great, the best part about the partnership was the end goal. Both Ross and Coors used this opportunity to raise money for Trout Unlimited’s Embrace a Stream program, furthering conservation efforts. This year, the partnership is back with a new reel and the same iconic look. The Ross Reel and Coors Banquet Cimarron has just been announced. Montrose, CO, April 2, 2025Ross Reels and Coors Banquet are proud to announce the next chapter in their celebrated partnership with the launch of the limited edition Coors Banquet Cimarron fly fishing reel, debuting this spring. Priced at $425, this all-new collaboration brings together two legendary Colorado-born brands in a reel that blends craftsmanship, Western heritage, and a continued commitment to conservation.

Launching first in the 4/5 size, the Coors Banquet Cimarron will be followed by additional sizes throughout the spring, and a limited edition drop this summer–so stay tuned!

First introduced in the 1980s, the Cimarron became a Ross staple, just like Banquet is for Coors. Now reimagined for anglers today, it’s lightweight, dependable, and finished with a custom durable ceramic coating. All Ross Reels are made in Montrose, Colorado.

“Coors Banquet has always been a brand rooted in the West, and our connection to water is essential to both our legacy and our future,” said Candace Hancock, Field Marketing Manager at Molson Coors. “We’re proud to continue this partnership with Ross Reels to help protect the waterways that define our backyard.”

This second collaboration builds on the success of the sold-out 2024 Coors Banquet Animas reel launch, which rallied the fly fishing community and raised significant funds for conservation. Once again, Ross Reels and Coors Banquet will contribute a combined $100,000 to Trout Unlimited’s Embrace A Stream grant program—with up to $50,000 from each brand—supporting critical work on Western rivers including Clear Creek (CO), Big Hole (MT), Provo (UT), and La Barge (WY).

“After the incredible response and constant requests for additional options following last year’s launch with Coors, we knew we had to bring the collaboration back,” said Jeff Patterson, Brand Manager at Ross Reels. “With the Coors Banquet Cimarron edition reel, we’re offering a more accessible opportunity for fans of both our brands as well. Plus, we’ve got an exclusive drop coming this summer for those looking for something extra special.”

Boldly styled with the unmistakable Coors Banquet color palette and built for performance, the limited edition Cimarron reel is a tribute to heritage and river conservation. It represents the shared values of resilience, craftsmanship, and giving back to the lands and waters that inspire both brands.

Available online at rossreels.com and in select fly shops this spring, the Coors Banquet Cimarron 4/5 is expected to sell quickly. Don’t miss your chance to own a piece of fly fishing history and contribute to the future of our rivers.

I’m originally from Tabernash, Colorado, and my passion for fishing started early, influenced by my grandfather, who managed Nelson’s Fly Shop. As soon as I got my driver’s license, I began guiding, and now I’m in my seventh year of doing so. I am a Account Manager at Flylords. I work with various brands in the industry to grow their digital marketing presence and run campaigns to increase their product and brand visibility. One thing I love about Flylords is the passion that goes into our work; everyone is deeply involved in what we strive to create. My favorite types of fishing are casting dry flies from a drift boat and stalking flats species from a skiff!
