Welcome to The Drift, our new podcast and the first of its kind, where anglers connect in their natural element, on the water while fishing. In each episode, host Jared Zissu floats the river with a guest in tow, sharing nuanced perspectives and fish stories, while inevitably catching a few fish. The goal with this new podcast series is to get away from the structured studio, out on the water, and see what happens when two fishy people get on a boat together—no scripts, just natural conversation, raw moments, and fishing.
In episode one, Jared hosts legendary adventure photographer, explorer, and author Chris Burkard. His work has graced the covers of Surfer Magazine, The New Yorker, and National Geographic, among countless others. He’s most known for his surf, ski, and snowboard content, often in far-off destinations. Most recently, Burkard began fly fishing, which just so happened to line up with The Drift. Tune in as Jared and Chris float our local waters and talk about photography and fly fishing while catching a few fish.
