Giving Tuesday: Support the Organizations Working for Healthy Habitats and Abundant Fisheries

It’s hard not to love Thanksgiving—good food, quality time with friends and family, and so much more. While so much of Thanksgiving is meant to show thankfulness, there’s some unavoidable consumerism with Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Here at Flylords, we love to emphasize Giving Tuesday to support the organizations fighting for clean water, healthy habitats, and a future filled with abundant fisheries. If you love fly fishing as much as we do, you owe a lot to the countless organizations doing this critical work. So consider supporting some of these groups on this year’s Giving Tuesday, and there are so many other fantastic groups out there—not just these standouts.

  1. Trout Unlimited
  2. Captains for Clean Water
  3. Cal Trout
  4. Bonefish & Tarpon Trust
  5. Project Healing Waters

To reiterate, this list is by no means exhaustive. There are so many fantastic organizations doing incredible work throughout the country to protect the sport of fly fishing and the habitats and ecosystems we depend on. So on this year’s Giving Tuesday, consider contributing to any of these fantastic groups that do so much good for the entire fly fishing community. In addition, many of these groups are 501c3 non-profits, so donations are tax-deductible!
