“Catching this carp was epic, it was like being back on the flats seeing a tailing bonefish in the water. I managed to creep closer through the weed and get a lucky cast right on to it, a little twitch of the fly and I got him to come up and eat. And to be fair to carp, which are often underrated fish to catch, they can hit you with some seriously powerful runs just like a bonefish!”
