Denver Mart to Close Permanently in April

2021 would have marked the 25th year the venue has hosted the Denver Fly Fishing Show.

Already facing postponed and canceled shows the permanent closure of the Denver Mart starting in April will be the nail in the coffin for this year’s fly fishing show in Denver. The venue has been hit exceptionally hard by COVID restrictions and which resulted in repossession.

“They couldn’t pay their bills, so it was taken over by the bank,” said Ben Furimsky, CEO and president of the Fly Fishing Show, which was supposed to celebrate its 25th anniversary this year.

Long time fans of the Denver show will be sad to see the venue go, but others are excited to see where the 2022 show or a rescheduled 2021 event will take place.

You can read more about the closure in this article from Fox 31 Denver.
