Pulling this fish out of the net for the first time, I was in awe.
The shoulders, the fins, the kype… this was a specimen of a bull trout in all its glory.
I was just grateful for the chance to cross paths with him.
My fishing partner (my father) spotted this fish from above, and I crept into position.
The stars aligned, and when a perfect drift swung in his path, the line went tight, and chaos broke loose.”
