An Unbelievably Huge Brown Trout From a Small Creek

A note from @gc_theflyguy

I was indicator fishing a very deep pool with a good friend of mine. The pool we were fishing was deep enough that you couldn’t see the bottom.

A few hours into the fishing session, my friend and I started to joke around and talk. We were not really paying much attention to the fishing, and that’s when I noticed my indicator was nowhere to be seen.

I set the hook, and it felt like I snagged a rock, then the rock started to move. After fighting that fish for a while, we were finally able to bring it in, and both of us were in shock.

The size of the fish was incredible for the size of the creek it came from.
