Welcome to Trout Week 2025

Welcome to Trout Week, a week dedicated to the fish that’s inspired more artists, writers, and fly anglers than any other. For many, trout are the backbone of their fly fishing pursuits—we tie flies, check flows, and prep gear in anticipation of fooling a wary opponent. We started trout week in 2021 with the goal of sharing stories of the fish we cherish the most.

Now, four years later, we partnered with OnWater Fish to tell the story of trout across America. From the babbling brooks of the Northeast to the steelhead runs of the Pacific Northwest and everything in between. Follow along as we explore trout fishing throughout the country, sharing the history, biology, and fly fishing opportunities trout anglers can encounter in the Northeast, Southeast, Midwest, Rocky Mountain West, and Pacific Northwest. Each day, we’ll explore one of these five regions and what makes them so special. Follow along, learn something new about your own region, and explore what others have to offer. This is Trout Week 2025.
