Reel of the Week: Tying a Spongebob Fly?

A note from Boyd Waters (@flyfishingstudiosflies):

The SpongeBob Square Pants deerhair fly was one of my favorite pieces to tie, part art, part nostalgia. I started watching SpongeBob in 99, and now seeing my kids love it, it brings everything full circle. A lot of my deerhair creations come from that blend of childhood memories and the things that light up my kids’ imaginations today. When I sit at the vise, it’s not just about tying a fly, it’s about capturing a moment, a character, or a story that means something to us. I have recently started a second page that just features my flies, enjoy. As always, Good Vibes and Tight Lines!
