A Note from @trippin_on_trout:

“It took me longer than it probably should have to learn to slow down and just watch fish for a while, instead of getting straight in there and starting to cast! Just sitting back and watching a fish, undisturbed is just a cool thing to do. You learn a heap  about behaviour, feeding patterns and so much more. Is he predominantly moving left or right to eat? Does he drop back and do a little beat every now and then? Is he looking up? Can you see what he is eating? Does he have a mate close by?

All these things can help you decide what fly to use and how you should present it to give you the best chance of an eat.” – trippin_on_trout
