In a significant move, Redington has announced discontinuing its wader line, signaling a shift in focus for the brand that has been a staple in the fly fishing community for over 30 years. Known for its durable and accessible wading products, Redington has decided to pivot away from this category to concentrate fully on its core offerings: quality rods and reels.

For decades, Redington waders have provided anglers with affordable, reliable protection in the toughest conditions. However, this decision comes as part of Redington’s plan to sharpen its focus on the “hard goods” that made the brand a household name for fly anglers in the 1990s—its rods and reels. These products, known for their dependable performance and innovation, will remain central to Redington’s future development and commitment to the sport.

Redington has also announced changes to its warranty policy as part of this transition. Going forward, the brand can no longer repair or replace wading products. Instead, customers with qualifying wading items will receive refunds or credits. This shift reflects Redington’s desire to ensure long-term support for its other products while winding down its wader division.

While some anglers may be sad to see the wader line go, this decision opens up exciting opportunities for Redington to refine and expand its iconic rod and reel collections, ensuring that the brand remains a trusted name in the world of fly fishing for years to come.

With this change, Redington assures customers that warranty terms for waders will remain in place during the transition, though repair or replacement options will no longer be available.
