New York Times Highlights The Art of Custom Rod Building

In their latest feature on fly fishing, the New York Times shares a photo essay and the story of Tom Morgan Fly Rods. The company was founded and ran by Tom Morgan, a legendary fly rod builder who started his rod building career in the 1970s when he owned RL Winston Rods. The NYT photo essay and article dive deep into the poetry, craftsmanship, and attention to detail (down to cork custom trimmed for each buyer’s hands) required to build some of the finest, custom graphite rods available.
