Flylords and Columbia PFG set out to tell the story of a trip that never goes to plan. A journey across Costa Rica with three anglers, one camera crew, and a few dream fish that don’t always play fair.
Ep. 1 & 2
I. The Pacific
Out west, it’s all blue water and bold moves. From roosterfish inshore to marlin and sailfish offshore, the Pacific coast pushed the crew to chase fast-moving predators in unpredictable seas. This leg was all about power, patience, and big water energy.
Ep. 3 & 4
II. The Jungle
Deep in Costa Rica’s rainforest, the crew traded surf for current. In narrow, winding rivers lined with vines and humidity, they stalked toothy machaca and elusive tarpon in a setting that felt truly prehistoric.
Ep. 5
III. The Gulf
The Atlantic side brought heat, sweat, and a tidal pulse that delivered hard-fighting surprises. Don't mistake stillness for calm - the Gulf brought a new level of intensity, demanding fineese, timing, and the right fly at the right moment.
